To say that I’m absolutely thrilled Rob and Sam are engaged is a HUGE understatement…

We’re in the process of downloading film scans tonight, and I thought I would post a couple frames we shot of the two of them in Alys Beach for their engagement session.  I’ll absolutely be posting more of this eye candy very soon - but here’s a look at what we’re dealing with.  I ADORE everything about these images…most of all that they are of my little brother and his beloved…

Messing around with our Mamiya and making some of my favorite girls act as test subjects…

There are simply no easy words to describe being in New York City at Ground Zero ten years later…

My heart just bleeds going through this film. I’ll post more soon once I wrap my head around how to write about this experience and the stirrings of my soul…

Here’s how we see it - we have amazing clients, we love fog, Napa is a dream, and we are beyond excited to be sharing a look at our first film wedding since 2005!

We’ll post more images on the blog later on today. But this morning, we are yet again blown away by our creative like-mindedness, and we wanted to provide a glimpse of the morning-after session we shot with Crystal and John. What this image evokes emotionally truly sets the stage for how we shot the wedding day and chose to tell their story. Juxtaposing their incredible Upper East Side style in all its full glory, with the rugged beauty and sensual feel of the early morning fog rolling through the hills of Napa Valley and the Bay Area.

Raw and dramatic, sexy and intimate, emotional and engaged - imagery like this is what we, both Amelia and  Graham, live to capture - the experience, the moment, the something beyond the horizon coming into play. This marriage is but the unfolding of a greater mystery, and their own personal journey together forevermore on this Earth - bound to one another for the remainder of this life. How amazing is that?

Crystal and John, you make our hearts so joyful and have lifted and encouraged our spirits in a special way. Thank you for being vulnerable, sharing your lives and baring your souls. You are appreciated more than you know, and we are truly honored to now call you our friends! We will henceforth all four be *Bound By* this incredible experience ;)

I wanted to just quickly share a couple of Jennie’s bridal portraits on film. I got the film scans in from RPL today and am beyond thrilled!  These images were shot on Ilford HP5, and I really love the feeling this grain adds to the overall aesthetic.

She is phenomenal.  Here’s to you sweet Jennie.
