Okay, I have been a blogger slacker lately. Tons of stuff to post! But before I blog anything else, here is the most fun image from my morning shoot today! Blake and Tessa are getting married this September, and we shot their engagement session today - full post coming soon. For now, please check out Blake and Tessa’s Blue Steel look (a la Zoolander)…they really channeled their inner Ben Stiller for this shot.

FAMILY ADDITIONS
So I had to throw up a couple of shots of our sweet puppies! That’s right - Gracie is now a Mama. So here a couple images of our new little cuties…

RINA & COREY - FAVES!
Here are some of my very favorite images from Rina & Corey’s Engagement Session. Enjoy!

I loved this shoot - the couple really just makes it every time! Best Wishes to Rina & Corey :)
WOW - PNEUMONIA: NOT FUN
Okay, I know, how boring is a photography blog without pictures? I apologize for the lack of fun blogging lately. On the upside, I have so many backlogged sessions and weddings stored up to post, that there will be an onslaught of images to view very soon. As soon as I make it back into the studio I’ll start posting! I can’t wait to share everything I’ve been shooting with y’all :)
ADVENTURES IN PHOENIX - PART 2
Part Two: The All-Girl Brazilian Christmas Party! My sweet friend Cristi Owen had her girlfriends over for an amazing Brazilian meal at her home. As you may know, Cristi is originally from Brazil and moved to the States when she was 20. I seriously cannot even explain how good this food was. I spent the rest of my time in Phoenix talking about Cristi’s stupendous dessert…and how I wanted to eat it every day for the rest of my life. Another cool touch to this party was the seating arrangement. Every year, Cristi buys an ornament for each of the girls coming to the dinner party, and uses it as a place card. Each girl has to figure out which ornament and seat is hers! The dinner was followed by an ornament exchange, and tons of fun fellowship. This was a good night. Good times for sure!

So, if you have followed this blog you probably know why this was my ornament. Cristi and I met in Ireland this past summer and stayed together in this wonderful Irish home in the countryside of Kinvara. Next to our house was a gorgeous pasture with stone walls, overflowing with the cutest sheep! Pretty much the whole trip, we kept planning to go take pictures of these beautiful angelic sheep. When we finally did get next door to get images of the sheep…they were all gone. They had been sold for food! How sad is that!

Gina with her ornament…she traveled to Italy this past year :)

The ornament I gave to Cristi…self-explanatory.

Cristi and friends enjoying the evening :)

Me with the “Cowboy Snowman” I won during the ornament exchange!

Me and some of the girls with our ornaments…

Cristi giving me her best Serena Van Der Woodsen :)

Our Rock Band! That’s right, I learned how to play Rock Band. It was my first time to ever play, and Gina’s first time as well - we’re the ones dying laughing :)

And yes, you can fail Rock Band…

Yea for fun times with the girls! Thanks for a lovely evening Cristi :)
HOME SWEET HOME
Back in Birmingham! Woo Hoo! I’ll be posting all of my adventures in Phoenix over the next few days, plus numerous portrait sessions and gorgeous weddings that I’ve had to lag behind posting on. So get excited - tons of fun coming soon to a blog near you!
AN ALBUM DESIGN PREVIEW
Here are just a few little peeks into Brooke and Don’s Album Design Layout. I love the feel of their storybook album! Take note that these are low-res proofs, and the true templates are high-res, without gridlines, and much much larger :)

A shout out to all you photographers: Thanks to photojunction - the best thing ever - this album turned out so beautifully! Check out my good friend Melissa Jill’s templates - they are wonderful!
CHRISTOPHER & MELISSA ARE TYING THE KNOT

Okay, I just had to give y’all a sneak peek of my session with Christopher and Melissa. I am definitely going to be posting a full blog from their engagement session a little later on - but here is just a quick little peek. I had a great time with these two and I am so excited for them! Congratulations to Christopher and Melissa!

AMELIA THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Get out the vote! I was able to listen to two impressive Presidential Candidates give somewhat of a “last hooray” out on the stump this morning. Whether you lean left or right, democrat or republican, one thing I think everyone can agree on is that this has been an unbelievable campaign to watch! And one way or another, whatever tomorrow’s election brings - we have the opportunity to be a part of a historical election. I encourage each and every one of you to get out there and take part! I think that my favorite thing to come out of the campaigns thus far is the new catchphrase that both candidates have taken to while describing various people they have met along the way. Of course, we have “Joe the Plumber” to thank for that. So, here is “Amelia the Photographer” asking everyone to get out the vote tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what happens :)
AN UPDATE ON THE CRAZINESS
Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I am in fact still alive. Thank you very much for the concern. I suppose I should let you know that it has been somewhat crazy for us lately - which is great! But unfortunately, I haven’t really had a lot of time for blogging. SO, I promise to post great new stuff over the next couple of weeks!!! Get ready, its about to be crazy for you too :)
